This week is insane — shifts at my part-time gig Monday, Wednesday and Friday, an evening interview Tuesday and a young professionals’ meeting Thursday night.

I did manage to get to the gym yesterday afternoon, but it’s pretty much out for the rest of the week. Luckily my part-time job isn’t that sedentary; I work at a home store and have been known to drag large pieces of furniture, giant fragile vases, etc around. Plus we sweep and have to do a lot of bending to get to the bottom shelves, and then there’s the up and down the ladder …

Still, it isn’t pounding away for 45 minutes on the elliptical or taking boot camp class. After work tonight, I have a lot of cleaning to do, and that can be fairly active, too.

How do you squeeze in activity when getting to the gym just isn’t an option?
