The only good thing about winter: cheap, delicious citrus fruit!

I saw on a weather Web site earlier this week that the citrus crop may be in trouble if the below-average temperatures continue to plague the South. šŸ˜¦ Say it ain’t so!

According to Sunkist.com (and they should know, right?) one medium orange has 80 calories. They’re also high in fiber and Vitamin C, so they’re healthy and filling — and just so delicious.

I ate three oranges yesterday and two today, including this one with the last of my extra-lean ground beef. Ah, the 140-calorie burger. I ate my burger with my new favorite BBQ sauce — Simply Enjoy’s Spicy Roasted Garlic. It costs less than $3 and is HFCS-free! That is pretty much unheard of. From what I can tell, though, Simply Enjoy is an in-house brand available in Giant and Martins grocery stores — they don’t have their own Web site.

I am pretty pleased with the way this week’s workout schedule is shaping up:

  • Sunday: Ultimate Bikini Body Workout DVD (30 minute workout + 10 minute ab session)
  • Monday: Treadmill and elliptical cardio
  • Tuesday: Ultimate Bikini Body Workout DVD (review here, if you missed it!)
  • Wednesday: Off
  • Thursday: Ultimatite Bikini Body Workout DVD + 10 minute abs session
  • Friday: Gym cardio
  • Saturday: Active rest (I’ll be hitting the 2010 Pennsylvania Farm Show, and that involves a lot of walking!)

Oh, January. After Christmas, my hours at my part-time retail gig get cut way back (we’re talking four hours a week, which makes it more of an inconvenience than a job, really). So I have more time for fitness, but less money. Oh, well. You win some; you lose some (and sometimes it rains šŸ™‚ ).

Happy Hump Day, all!
